UK: Police divers search Dorset wreck
A police search of the wreck of the Kyarra in Dorset has failed to find any trace of two divers who went missing on separate diving trips in August.
Divers from Avon and Somerset Constabulary Underwater Search Team scoured areas around the wreck, following a sonar search of the area on Wednesday.
Police were searching for the bodies of a 22-year-old male diver who went missing on 22 August and a 48-year-old female diver who went missing on 4 August. Both were reported missing by the skipper of dive boat Killer Prawn.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said a specialist team of sonar experts from a private company examined the wreck and the surrounding area before police divers moved in.
"Police divers searched near the wreck on Thursday - nothing of significance was found," he said. "Our thoughts are with the families and friends."
