Join PADI Americas in aiding victims of Hurricane Katrina

By now, you've heard and read about the devastating losses and extensive damage Hurricane Katrina caused in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Unfortunately, it appears that the hardships will continue for some time to come as the survivors rebuild their lives. The entire PADI family extends its deepest condolences to those who are affected by this storm and its aftermath.

The PADI organization will be working with PADI Dive Centers and Resorts in the affected areas to provide support in rebuilding their businesses. PADI Regional Managers and the staff of PADI's Resort and Retailer Associations have been trying to reach these members and will continue to do so to offer assistance.

In the meantime, PADI Americas has established funding specifically to assist PADI members affected by Hurricane Katrina. The entire PADI family encourages fellow members to support existing agencies that are set up to respond to national emergencies. You can find a comprehensive list of National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters at http://www.nvoad.org/membersdb.php?members=National. This cooperative effort is a useful way for volunteers, families and organizations to contribute collectively toward a need.

PADI Members and divers across the globe are unselfishly banding together to help the victims of this tragedy. Together, we can make a difference.
