South Africa: Hunts on for diver and missing Hout Bay pair

Searches are to resume on Friday morning for a Strand scuba diver reported missing off Miller's Point near Simon's Town and two men last seen in a small boat between Llandudno and Hout Bay.

Jaffer Kamaldien, 25, apparently ran out of oxygen while he and a group of friends were diving at a depth of five metres.

NSRI spokesperson Craig Lambinon said that according to reports, Kamaldien was aided by other divers' oxygen supply, but once at the surface, his fellow divers had lost sight of him.

Lambinon said 25 divers had spent the day searching for Kamaldien. The search was called off last night.

Rumour has it, these guys were a bunch of POACHERS. Live by the sword, die by the sword! Just a pity they waste other people's time who have to go and find the body.
